In brief: PXS Research collects limited site-usage information and information you choose to provide, such as an email address. We use it to operate, secure and improve the site and to send research emails you request. We do not sell personal information for money or use the site to display personalized advertising.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to PXS Research websites and online services that link to it, including pxsresearch.com (collectively, the “Site”). “PXS Research,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Site. This policy does not apply to third-party websites, services or content that may be linked from the Site.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

When you join the PXS Research investment club or research email list, we collect your email address. We also record the page where you signed up, the referring origin and path when available, campaign attribution fields such as UTM source, medium and campaign, the consent language shown to you, signup status, and timestamps. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message, including any information you choose to include.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, our hosting and analytics providers may automatically process technical and usage information. This can include your Internet Protocol address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, links selected, search interactions, watchlist actions, timestamps and similar diagnostic information.

Information stored on your device

The Site uses browser storage to keep a watchlist of ticker symbols on your device, remember whether you joined or recently dismissed the investment-club prompt, and avoid showing the same prompt repeatedly during a session. This browser-storage information is not an account and does not synchronize across your devices.

3. How we use information

We use information described above to:

  • provide, operate, maintain and secure the Site;
  • save and administer investment-club and research-email requests;
  • send research updates and related communications that you requested;
  • respond to questions, inquiries and requests;
  • understand how visitors find and use the Site, measure content performance and improve navigation, research coverage and user experience;
  • detect, investigate and prevent spam, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activity; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to provide a service you requested, based on your consent, for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Site, or to comply with law. You may withdraw consent to future email marketing at any time.

4. How we share information

We may disclose information to vendors that help us run the Site, subject to appropriate terms and only as needed for their work. Current categories include:

  • Cloudflare, which provides website hosting, security, request processing and database infrastructure;
  • Google Analytics, which helps us measure visits, sessions, approximate geography, device and browser information, and interactions with the Site; and
  • Google Fonts, which supplies web fonts and receives technical request information when fonts load.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect the rights, safety and security of PXS Research, our users or others; investigate fraud or abuse; or support a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets or similar business transaction. If a business transaction occurs, information may be transferred subject to this policy or notice of materially different practices.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use the Site to display personalized advertising. Third-party services may process information under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review those policies.

5. Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers, including a first-party _ga cookie, to distinguish visits and measure Site activity. Google states that its default Analytics implementation collects user and session statistics, approximate geolocation, and browser and device information. The Site also uses local and session storage for the functional preferences described above.

You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Blocking storage may reset your watchlist and prompt preferences, and blocking analytics may limit our ability to understand Site usage. You can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals because there is no consistent industry standard for them.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to maintain a record of your subscription preference, provide requested communications, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the system that stores it. Analytics information is retained according to the settings and policies of our analytics provider. Browser-storage information remains on your device until it expires or you clear it.

We use administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. For example, the Site uses encrypted HTTPS connections and limits the information accepted by its signup endpoint. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

You may unsubscribe from research emails by using the unsubscribe method in an email or by contacting us. You may control cookies and browser storage as described above. You may also ask us to access, correct or delete personal information associated with you, or object to or restrict certain processing.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you additional rights, such as the right to know what categories or specific pieces of personal information we hold, obtain a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision about your request. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and legal exceptions may apply. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to verification of authority.

To make a request, email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject line and describe your request and your jurisdiction. If you have subscribed, contact us from the relevant email address when possible. You may also complain to your local data-protection or privacy regulator.

8. International users and children

PXS Research and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data-protection rules than your country. Where required, we rely on lawful mechanisms for cross-border transfers.

The Site is intended for a general audience interested in investment research and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Site, our practices or applicable law. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice when appropriate.
